One Call for the Whole List

Every house keeps a list: trim that never got finished, a stair rail that wiggles, a laundry room stuck in 1987. Finding a different contractor for each line is how the list survives another five years. We work through it as one project, with the same crew and the same standards we bring to a full kitchen.

As a home improvement contractor based in Bristol, we cover the carpentry, drywall, paint, and finish trades in-house, and coordinate our licensed plumbing and electrical partners when the project needs them.

The In-Between Projects

Work That Deserves a Real Contractor

Crown molding, baseboard, wainscoting, shiplap, and accent walls, cut tight and caulked clean. Finish carpentry is what separates a house that feels done from one that feels almost done.

We stop short of custom built-ins and cabinetry, and we will say so honestly rather than deliver millwork we do not specialize in.

Entryway with new wood-look flooring, sage green paint, and refinished staircase

Loose banisters, worn treads, and dated balusters, repaired or replaced so the staircase is safe and looks like it belongs to the house. Interior stair work pairs naturally with new flooring and paint.

The hardest working small rooms in the house deserve better than bare drywall and a wire shelf. We build out laundry rooms and mudrooms with storage, surfaces, and flooring that handle boots, baskets, and dog leashes, with plumbing moves handled by our licensed partners.

Finished basement with new wood-look flooring, recessed lighting, and laundry nook

Grab bars anchored into real blocking, ramps built to the right slope, and doorways widened for wheelchairs and walkers. Practical modifications that keep people safely in the homes they love.

General Contracting Questions

It depends entirely on the list. Bundled projects price better than one-off visits, which is why we quote the whole scope in writing after seeing it, free.

Yes, and they work best bundled. A stair rail, two rooms of trim, and a mudroom shelf wall make one great visit.

We do not do roofing, siding, standalone plumbing or electrical calls, custom cabinetry, or home additions. If your project needs one of those, we will tell you up front.

Yes. Myers Home Improvements LLC is a registered Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor, HIC# 0670854, and fully insured.

That is up to you. Many clients give us access and go about their day. Either way you get an update at the end of it.
