Cromwell, CT

About This Project

Water damage in a condo rarely stays where it started. In this Cromwell unit, tucked against the TPC River Highlands golf course, it reached far enough that the remediation company left walls open to the studs in room after room. The cleanup crew stopped the damage; the owners hired Myers to turn the shell back into their home.

We handled the restoration end to end: new sheetrock hung, taped, and finished everywhere the old walls and ceilings had come out, then fresh paint to tie it all together. New luxury vinyl plank flooring went down to replace what the water took. And in the kitchen, the rebuild became a full remodel: the dated cabinets, counters, and wallpaper came out, and new shaker cabinetry went in with granite countertops, an island with an undermount sink, and a tile backsplash.

Restoration work is its own kind of remodeling: part rebuild, part upgrade, one accountable crew from bare studs to the final coat of paint. The owners came back to a condo that looks better than it did before the loss.
