Sliding Barn Door Installed in a Finished Southington Basement

A standard swing door eats floor space, and in a finished basement, floor space is the whole point.

We installed a sliding barn door in this Southington basement: a clean white paneled door on matte black hardware that rides along the wall instead of swinging into the room. It separates the space when you want separation and disappears when you do not, and the black track and handle give the white door just enough contrast to feel intentional.

Small project, real difference. It is a favorite finishing touch on the basements we work on, and it pairs naturally with the vinyl plank flooring running through this one.
